Your Lunar Wellspring
Hello,
Lower your gaze, my loves, and prepare to soften. We are living in Virgo’s very real and exacting time but feeling an otherworldly pull from Pisces, where soon we’ll be submerged in its Full Moon waters, dipping into its wellspring and sipping on our self-love cups.
Most importantly, we are eclipsing. Deeply involved in an evolved emotional growth phase. An accelerated learning that is shifting and centring us, bringing us closer together and closer to the version of self we are intent on becoming.
This Pisces Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse will ask you to surrender an aspect of yourself, wisely in service of yourself. A way of being you’ve been devoted to, and held onto, holding you back, possibly way back. This letting go is a vital stage in the Pisces~Virgo deep clean we are all experiencing and right now actively engaged in. An internal cleanse calling for release and radical self-forgiveness.
A cosmic tidying that facilitates full-hearted feeling.
Eclipsing Emotions
I come from a family where feelings were equally repressed, suppressed, overt and covert. It was very confusing. My Mum, doing her absolute best, with her incredibly sensitive, intuitive Pisces Moon, would encourage me to reveal my emotions, but as a good little Virgo I always sensed there was a right answer and a wrong answer. An incorrect response could open floodgates and close doors. Creating a whole drama without me being any the wiser or feeling any better.
Children’s feeling responses are huge but we are such good learners and many of us realise as very young people that it’s safest to hold our strong emotions tight and quiet. It can take years to unravel them.
Every emotional experience we’ve felt is tucked away in our feeling nature container ~ symbolically represented by our very own Moon.
Every time the actual Moon cycles around our natal chart we cycle through our entire range of past and present emotional patterns ~ the cues for care we picked up on early, how we need to be nurtured, nourished, feel protected and loved.
Observing how we feel on New Moons and Full Moons and working with the energies available puts us in touch with our emotional nature and evolves us further on the feeling front. But it’s the eclipses that reach the core of felt awareness and where the great unpacking happens. Some chapters end and can be put safely to bed but many open wide, exposing our stories to the light.
Untying Our Patterns
Here to do no harm, the treatment plan for unravelling our eclipsing emotional knots is a combination of serious softness and gentle loosening. Easing out of our entanglements and letting them go. By dropping these hypervigilant holds we can begin to shift our stiffness, release our grip on old, stuck narratives and create space internally for new, expansive stories.
For this Full Moon Our fresh perspective is to be found in Pisces. Every 18 months the Nodes move to a new set of signs and from 12 January the North Node has been travelling through Pisces ~ its opposite South Node in Virgo ~ setting off a new area of development in our natal charts and a collective growth space for us all. While the Nodes in our natal chart tell us about our personal soul growth story, these shifting Nodes reveal where each of us could be more conscious and highly attuned.
The Lunar Nodes are magical, woven intersections between the heavens and earth.
With the nodal needle now almost halfway into Pisces~Virgo, you’ll definitely be feeling the magnetic pull of the Pisces North Node and sense the draw of the Virgo South Node.
The North Node is our North star, our compass leading us forward. The North Node in Pisces is where the medicine for this time lives, encouraging us to dig deep inside and search for an all-encompassing compassion ~ for ourselves and everyone. By broadening our heart’s capacity and widening our perspective we kickstart the creation of new, loving growth patterns.
It’s allowing a connection to the wonder of oneness that does it. Kind of simple really.
The South Node is where we’re coming from. It’s what we know. We’re well resourced and well endowed here, gifted with talents we can benefit from. We can most certainly use the critical vision of the Virgo South Node to clean up our view, but we want to do it with a respectful gaze, honouring our intuition and coming from our highest intention. Virgo will physically support Pisces when it melts and leaks with love, but Virgo’s intention is not to restrict, just carefully contain, like a chalice holding sacred wine. We never want to abandon that Virgo South Node. Mentally, it gives you your words and helps you make sense of your understanding, providing support and honest reflection if and when you need it. Ensuring you don’t spill all over.
Each Node powerfully connects us to our past and our future, our soulful destination. When we wholeheartedly accept both directions, new life is possible and fresh shapes can form, beyond what we can imagine.
Your Pisces Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse
We are one with everyone. Safely swimming in our mystical watery depths. Possessing shared wisdom beyond our understanding. Open your mind and feel that. The lunar light is dim and our clarity might be clouded but this Moon is asking us to turn our inner vision on and look at ourselves differently, more kindly and compassionately.
You are sipping from your self-love cup, right? Remember that cup I wrote about for the Virgo New Moon at the beginning of this eclipse, that special vessel you poured yourself in, filling yourself with all you love and value most? It’s time to drink up. These waters are rich.
This Pisces Full Moon is a beautiful addition to your sacred tea, like a sacred homeopathic remedy. The alchemy is so special, the mix just right. It’s critical you take it in. Appreciating your essence, your essential self ~ your highest capital ‘S’ Self ~ is a vital step in this eclipse season, the Pisces~Virgo cleanse we’re all experiencing.
Rest assured, this is not a Full Moon or an eclipse to be hard on yourself. You just don’t need to be. Instead, it’s dedicated to the softest part of you, your purest, highest expression, untainted and untangled, removed from outside noise and distraction.
What we really want is to remove our own noise ~ all the unhelpful voices ~ so we can amplify the clearest sound and make space for our most welcome visions, the messages we really want to hear and then embody for ourselves. Take yourself somewhere quiet and tune in, those insights are waiting for you.
Every time we’re self-critical and get stuck in second guessing we betray ourselves a little bit, selling ourselves short. We take away our knowing that we had it right the first time and intuitively have our greatest interests at heart. I’m seriously working on this. How about you?
Where are you feeling closed off and inaccessible? What could you release so you can be more available, more inviting of the magical, the first thoughts, best thoughts?
Your beautiful, comforting world awaits, inside you.
You don’t have to be super psychic to access this world, your personal wellspring. It lives in your unconscious, revealing itself when you sleep, get into watery spaces, gaze out windows, connect with the divine. Lost in thought, music, art, dance and surrender to dreamtime.
Open your arms wide and wrap yourself in this hug of a Moon. It has the greatest, mother loving energy and the wisest knowledge to back you up. Fully immerse yourself in it and stay well hydrated, sipping from your self-love cup.
(FYI, I sent this love letter early because many of us are already feeling this eclipse’s energetic build-up. The Pisces Full Moon will be at its fullest on 8 August at 4.08am AEST, and on 7 August at 4.02am GMT and 11.08pm PT. We can feel its presence for a few days. We often feel the eclipse build up at least a week before and then feel the emotional effects for a week after. If it’s affecting your chart in a big way ~ like for me and my Virgo, Gemini, Sag and Pisces people ~ we might be processing this for a while…)
Love,
Kristin xxx
