Grace Yourself
Hello,
Isn’t Libra season a breath of fresh air after the intensity of the Virgo~Pisces eclipses? We’re still processing and recalibrating, but the atmosphere feels lighter, more spacious and accommodating. Our eyes are drawn outward, beyond the introspective gaze of always-improving Virgo. We’re no longer compelled to look within, we’re ready to look to the other.
We feel a refreshing sense of ease when we’re with each other. It’s a course correction, a balancing balm, to find connection and reciprocity in the company of others. To be with people we love, like and admire, actively engaging, inspiring, offering new ways to see things. This is partly why Libra has such a strong urge to relate. For Libra, perspective is everything ~ it loves examining all the sides. This is how we discover what we really want. And for that there needs to be choice.
We don’t need to be in a relationship to relate. But we do need people.

Whether it’s a friend, a family member, a co-worker or partner, interactions elevate us. They take us outside of ourselves. Inside, we get stuck. Wedged between Virgo and Scorpio, Libra has no desire to be stuck. It doesn’t want to be weighed down by Virgo’s seriousness or find itself in the clutches of Scorpio’s claws.
Made of air, Libra levitates above all that. With refined Venus as its advocate, it’s much too diplomatic to appear one-sided. Beautifully positioned. it gracefully weaves its way into our hearts, assuring us it’s agreeable, saying the right thing, but of course Libra knows what it wants. It’s a cardinal sign, an initiatory energy ~ a doer, a decider ~ and it doesn’t hold back. It’s just so very good at harmonising that it subtly gets you to do the choosing. All the while steering you in the direction it really wants to go.
Libra can flip elegantly into its opposite sign Aries, constellating all of its courage and boldness but masking it with charm and grace.
(This clever tactical move will come in handy for the Aries Full Moon. Just saying…😉)
To be fair, it’s actually really hard for Libra to be self-centred. So concerned with politely evening out situations and unruffling feathers, Libra ~ and the Libran part of us ~ can seriously self-sacrifice for the sake of others. We want to watch out for this behaviour because when we sit so strongly on our desires and don’t speak out, we can end up creating a huge internal storm and tip and rock our boat straight out to sea.
So how do we right ourselves and minimise potential harm when we feel unsteady? Firstly, we accept that in order to create balance, there must be imbalance. Oppositional forces are everywhere. That’s life. We’re always weighing up what to do. Then we make choices. We make thousands of unconscious choices every day…
Align with Venus and she will guide you to make the right choice. Your very own Venus represents your self-worth and your values, those internal pillars that keep us upright, speaking for all we stand for and deliberately choose to live by. Honestly, your best decisions are made when you align with your Venus’ desires, needs and wants.
Venus is no piece of fluff. She knows exactly what pleases you and the kind of relationship you need.
That’s right. The kind of relationship that’s healthy for you and honours who you are at your fundamental core. When we live in congruence with our Venus everything is easier. We maintain our centre because we’re in sync with our integrity, our dignity, and we can’t be shaken.
You Are My Mirror
Energetically, Libra offers us a brilliant reflection of ourselves. Being the ‘other’ ~ so naturally acting as our opposite ~ we can fall in love with this image or reject it, depending on the qualities revealed back to us. Libra does its best to be the fairest of them all but unfortunately can end up dealing with our shade and our projections, unwittingly finding itself in the firing line.
It’s so unconscious but we project the qualities we’re yet to possess onto our Librans and our ‘others’. It can be hard to embody aspects of our nature we’re not ready to own. So instead, we project those qualities onto other people. They act them out for us. If we don’t like the result, we can reject those people. They become the problem. If we’re happy with what we see, we want more of that person. We might then learn to take that quality on for ourselves, or merely live it out through them.
“We see others not as they are, but as we are.”
~ Anais Nin
A classic is when we meet someone and they possess a quality we find highly attractive. We spend time with them, perhaps get intimate with them and begin a relationship…then after a while those very same qualities that we adored begin to drive us nuts. This is a form of projection and mirroring we engage in often, in all kinds of relationships.
We will always fall deeply in love with our ‘other’ until we discover we’re fully capable of possessing those qualities ourselves. Which wonderful ~ or perhaps not so wonderful ~ qualities do you foster out to other people? Are you throwing away parts of yourself you’d benefit from owning? Who’s in your orbit that you admire or envy and want more of what they’ve got? Could those qualities be inside you, waiting to be acknowledged and integrated?
Libra season asks us to be conscious of our reflection and the parts of ourselves we give away to people. When we’re able to see our entire self reflected back to us, accepting the light and shade, we can begin our greatest love story, appreciating the people in our lives as they really are and as we truly can be.
Your Aries Full Moon
If you’re not already feeling it, get set for a peak experience. A high you’ve been building towards, knowingly or unknowingly. Showing up as you are for a showdown with yourself.
Smack bang in the middle of Aries, this Full Moon wants you to be extremely honest with yourself, recognising your impulses, any motivations you’ve suppressed or sublimated, and the part you’re playing in your unfolding story.
Aries’ ruler Mars currently placed in provocative Scorpio isn’t afraid to point the finger. So go there and own what you’re asking for. Fess up and say what you want and how you like it. We can be so self-reliant and familiar with our own worlds and what works for us that we forget how to come together and advocate for our personal needs.
This Full Moon asks for a big reveal, a bold conversation that tells it like it is.
There’s a yod ~ aka a finger of god ~ pointing directly at your mouth and your mind. This Mercurial activation, newly arrived in Scorpio, calls for careful communication, even if you’re just talking to yourself, because it could bring up powerful content from your depths. Stuff that needs to come up and out.
Aries and Libra are on your side ~ well, all of our sides ~ so while things might get heated relationally, be yourself, withdraw any projections and approach your ‘other’ truthfully and wholeheartedly. Your message can be intentional and graceful while kindly taking up your rightful space.
Think back ~ actually feel back ~ to the Aries New Moon six months ago. What were you birthing or wanting to create and haven’t allowed yourself to fully form? Have you neglected your desires because of your focus on other people and their needs, or a myriad of random pressing things?
Maybe you put your desires aside because you haven’t been ready to face a part of yourself that yearns to fulfil them.
It’s no longer enough to smoulder. Now is the time to reignite your flame and do whatever you need to make what you want happen. The honest, brave-hearted action you take will be so liberating and good for you. And very likely, life changing.
Love,
Kristin xxx
